FAQs About the GUNNAR Torpedo Gaming Glasses

1

Who is the GUNNAR Torpedo designed for?

The GUNNAR Torpedo is a gaming-focused frame designed to heighten focus and visual endurance during extended gaming sessions. Its low-profile temples are built for compatibility with audio headsets, making it suited to gamers who wear a headset for long stretches.

2

What does the wrap-around design of the GUNNAR Torpedo do?

The GUNNAR Torpedo uses a wrap-around frame design that provides a panoramic viewing experience, along with a half-rim construction intended to minimize visual distractions at the edges of the lens. This shape is combined with low-profile temples so the arms sit comfortably under a headset.

3

Does the GUNNAR Torpedo block blue light and UV rays?

Yes, the GUNNAR Torpedo uses GUNNAR's proprietary patented lens material and tint to block harmful blue light and 100% of UV light. It also has anti-reflective coatings on both the front and back of the lens to reduce glare.

4

How scratch-resistant are the GUNNAR Torpedo lenses?

The GUNNAR Torpedo lenses use a silicone hard coating specifically intended to prevent scratching, which matters for gaming glasses that get handled frequently and worn under headsets. This is in addition to the frame's anti-reflective front and back coatings.

5

What are the dimensions and weight of the GUNNAR Torpedo?

The GUNNAR Torpedo measures 73mm lens width, 18mm nose bridge, 140mm frame width, and 120mm temple length, weighing 24 grams unpackaged, making it a lightweight option built for extreme comfort during long sessions, with a wide lens shape that supports its wrap-around design.

6

Can I wear a gaming headset with the GUNNAR Torpedo?

Yes, the GUNNAR Torpedo is specifically designed with low-profile temples for audio headset compatibility, so the frame's arms are built to sit comfortably underneath headset ear cups during extended gaming sessions without pressing painfully against your head.
