Truth is, the solution may be something simple: balance. Researchers say balance is the key to good health, and a sit-stand workstation will provide you just that. Combine this with proper posture and movement during the day, and you can do a world of good for yourself. Alan Hedge, a profession from the Department of Design and Environmental Analysis at Cornell University, advocates balance in your daily posture.
He says, “If you go from sitting to standing and vice versa frequently throughout the day … that completely eradicates any of the supposed risk factors associated with sitting, or indeed with standing,”
